Some time ago I came across the writing of the Franciscan "Richard Rohr." I found his book "Things Hidden: Scripture As Spirituality" a great comfort. His work is basically about contemplative prayer. There's a few mp3s available to listen to. These give a valuable 'taster' into his life and work.
